Yes, I have a “snack-drawer” at work. Do you? Co-workers always tend to find out about it too, when they are jonesing for a pick-me-up. My snack-drawer is filled with my favorite snacks. The mixture will always change up, depending on what I’m craving but typical items include: almonds; chewy salty-sweet nut granola bars (the almond one); unsulphured dried apple rings; “leathered” sun-dried mango from Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s (much better than the gooey sulphured ones from the corner market); stonewheat crackers; un-crystallized dried candied ginger; fleur-de-sel dark chocolate squares; and always Annie’s cheddar bunnies. Gulp. I know, not at all “healthy”. *shrug*
I always have cheddar bunnies — both yummy and cute! To me, they taste much better than goldfish crackers as I find the bunnies taste less greasy and less salty. It’s probably all in my head, though. Where I live, there tends to be only the regular cheddar bunnies, but according to its website, there are organic cheddar bunnies, whole wheat cheddar bunnies, white cheddar bunnies, and sour cream and onion bunnies. Wait up! Hello? I’m a bit jealous over here.
Just a note that if you want me to be a happy guest, make sure you have cheddar bunnies somewhere in your kitchen cupboards. In the middle of the night, I’m sure to find them. Thank you very much in advance 🙂
* Update: My snack drawer no longer has almonds or salty-sweet nut granola bars due to nut allergies at my workplace. Sigh.
