Oh yeaaah. I love me some R&B…especially the New Jack Swing styles that I grew up with. We’re talking Boyz II Men, BBD, Johnny Gill, Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, MJ, En Vogue, SWV, Jodeci, Keith Sweat, Babyface, Vanessa Williams, Karyn White, Pebbles, After 7, 112, TLC, Tevin Campbell, Aaliyah, Blackstreet, Mary J. Blige, Usher, Brian McKnight, Soul for Real, et al…Daaaaamn. Memories.
THE HISTORY OF R&B
There’s more to it than this, yes, but I find these guys (Paul Kim and David So) do a great job of cracking me up and letting me relieve some choice R&B moments in “The History of R&B” (above) — APA styles (Asian Pacific American). I think one person commented that “Asians are going to take over the world” — yes, because we can do EVERYTHING well. Ha!
