I ♥ NPR’S SERIAL
I’m an avid listener of CBC radio. It carries This American Life from NPR (which is kinda like the American CBC Radio), but can I be honest and say I’m not really into it? *shrug* I am, however, so into the series, Serial, a podcast that I stream online (PS: you can also download it from iTunes).
It works like a documentary about the 1999 murder of Hae Min Lee, a Baltimore teenager. Her ex boyfriend, Adnan Syed was convicted of her murder…but did he actually do it?
Did he? Tell me now, dammit! (Sorry, I’m only on episode 5).
Each successive podcast makes my eyes grow bigger…and bigger…and bigger (–What the hell, Jay?!).
I listen to it while commuting in my car, and/or while making dinner or baking.
The fact that this is a true crime story and the main people involved are people of colour, like moi, well, it makes it even more rich and tantalizing…because I can relate. For real. So good. Go listen now.
